Eligible applicants process:
- BA with an average of 85 (A-) and above;
- Excellent, highly motivated and socially engaged students from diverse disciplines and programs;
- Fluency in English;
- A commitment to participate in an intensive program of study including a 4-month internship abroad;
- Relevant background or professional skills, proficiency in additional languages, as well as prior experience working or volunteering abroad are an advantage.
Candidates will be evaluated according to academic and professional qualifications, as well as their demonstrated commitment to take an active part in international and local development work.
Suitable candidates will be invited for a personal interview. Overseas students will be interviewed via Skype.
All students are required to apply to the Glocal Community Development Studies Program, Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
In addition, students are required to register either at the Office of Students Admissions: http://info.huji.ac.il (for Israeli applicants),
or through the Office of Overseas Students admissions: http://info.huji.ac.il/overseas (for international students).
Each of these processes is described below:
Students are required to fill out the application form and send three hard copies of the following:
(a) The full application form;
(b) Two passport pictures with your name and ID or Passport number on the back;
(c) Two photocopies of your passport or Israeli ID;
(d) Official or notarized academic records of previous studies;
(e) Two copies of your curriculum vitae;
(f) Two copies of your statement of purpose - describing your relevant background, why you wish to join this program and your career objectives (Up to one page)
(f) Three letters of recommendation: at least one from an academic faculty member and one from a former employer or supervisor who has first-hand knowledge of your professional skills. The recommendations should be sent directly by the referee through e-mail to Glocal@savion.huji.ac.il.
