During a visit to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, newly appointed British Council CEO, Scott McDonald commented, “a mind-stretching visit to HU to meet recipients of our BIRAX grants and discuss their research on aging (diabetes, vascular system, senescence), followed by a visit to the Labs to see the “mini-brain” which will revolutionise research.
Scott McDonald, is currently President and Chief Executive of global consultancy firm Oliver Wyman Group and will become British Council Chief Executive from 1st September.
As Chief Executive, McDonald will lead the UK’s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities, providing strategic direction to the British Council as it continues to build connection, understanding and trust between people in the UK and overseas through arts, education and English language teaching.
