Glocal is an interdisciplinary 18-month graduate program offered by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem which translates academic research into a practical understanding of community development – an approach empowering communities in need across the world to prosper and succeed. As written in the opening remarks: “Glocal welcomed the 2023-2024 academic year with great expectations. Having planned to begin our orientation week on October 9th 2023, we had international students in the country and en route to Israel on October 7th. While overwhelmed and saddened like the rest of the country, we offered assistance and support to our students and alumni during the first few months of the war, and began academic teaching on campus in early December 2023, a month earlier than the rest of the university”
