Congratulations to the new graduates of the 49th cohort of the International Master’s in Public Health (IMPH) programme, who, despite facing a difficult and challenging year, have successfully completed their studies. Congratulations as well to Ilknur Ayvaz, a medical doctor from Turkey for receiving this year’s excellence award.
They all came to Israel to study but found themselves in an emergency situation in a foreign country. With the great support of academic staff who worked hard to adapt and open the academic year with understanding and flexibility, they made it through.
In mid-September students from various countries came together to celebrate a year of intensive studies in public health and leadership, knowledge they will carry back to their countries from Israel. These students, from countries like Cameroon, Tanzania, South Sudan, India, Cambodia and more, will become leaders in promoting health within their communities. Wearing the traditional attire of their home countries, they embodied an island of cooperation and sanity amidst global divisions. With the qualifications and expertise they have gained, they are sure to make great strides in their careers and make significant contributions to their countries.
