BFHU’s Honours Club Summer Tea ahead of Rosh Hashana

BFHU’s Honours Club Summer Tea ahead of Rosh Hashana
26th September 2024 Moriah Aharon

Early this week, we were delighted to host members of BFHU’s Honours Club for a Summer tea at Stephens House Finchley ahead of Rosh Hashanah, which included conversations with Hebrew University alumni who recently arrived in London to pursue advanced degrees.

Ruth shared her story with us about having lost 2 cousins on Kibbutz Be’eri on 7 October and her personal Mission in the UK to stand up for Israel in her university and not to be afraid to tell the world about the October 7 atrocities. She feels a duty to educate Isreal’s detractors wherever she encounters them.

We watched a video on the heroic stories of University members during the current war, followed by hearing from alumni Jonathan and Inbal, graduates of the PPE programme at the University. They spoke about their work in Israel, their experiences during the war, what led them to study in London and their expectations for their studies.

It was an illuminating afternoon for both our Honours Club and our amazing Hebrew University graduates. We wish them luck in their studies in the year ahead.”
