Join us for a compelling presentation by Professor Zohar Kampf, the Hebrew University's new Dean of Students. Gain insights into the current state of the student body, the challenges they face, and how they are coping with the ongoing war and their evolving needs. Professor Kampf will also touch on the historical student experience at Hebrew University over the past century.
Zohar Kampf is a Professor of Language and Communication at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is the author of two books and more than 90 chapters and articles in language, communication and international studies journals. Prof Kampf is a member of several editorial boards including Communication Theory, Cambridge Elements in Pragmatics, and Journal of Language Aggression and Conflict. Since 2017 he serves as Associate Editor of the Journal of Pragmatics. At the Hebrew University he held several management positions, including the head of the Swiss Center for conflict research (2013-2014), head of Graduate School, the faculty of social sciences (2015-2020), Vice-Dean of the faculty of social sciences (2020-2023) and the Dean of Students (since 2024). His current research project focuses on the consequences of interpersonal relationship between leaders for interstate relations.
