Despite the existence of many programmes that aim to provide equal opportunities to under-represented groups, there remain huge equity gaps in educational systems and pathways available to students of minority ethnicities and nationalities, which vary widely around the world
The British Council’s work in Higher Education and Society promotes knowledge exchange and academic collaboration with far-reaching impact. Higher Education is an effective tool to enable improved social mobility and resource access for under-represented communities. Nevertheless, the issue of Race and Ethnicity in Higher Education remains a topic that is often sensitive and not discussed enough.
In response to the past year’s turbulent events, the British Council is launching this webinar and hope to develop further events on the topic of Race and Ethnicity in Higher Education in order to raise awareness around the topic.
