Event Details

Armed conflicts intensify social vulnerabilities and particularly place women's and girl's bolidy integrity and social freedoms at risk. This event creates a space for Afghan women to speak about the dramatic change in the Afghan lived reality following the Taliban takeover and their hectic departure. It will also voice stories of women who worked relentlessly in the past few days to help loved ones and colleagues to leave Afghanistan.

• Nazanin Sadid, A journalist who was unsuccessful in her attempts to leave Kabul
• Dr. Kerstin Tomiak, Former NATO Spokesperson in Kabul
• Brishkay Ahmed, Afghani-Canadian filmmaker
• Moderator Dr. Tal Nitsan, Post-Doc fellow in Gender and Conflict Resolution at Hebrew U.’s Davis Institute for International Relations
