  • Summer Study Abroad courses cater to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as mature learners. These immersive programs include study tours in Jerusalem and Israel, enhancing the learning experience.   • Hebrew and Other Languages Courses: The Rothberg International School (RIS) provides a range of options in Modern Hebrew, Arabic, Biblical Hebrew and more. You’ll participate in intensive classroom study and have daily chances to practice your language skills in the vibrant environment of Jerusalem. Courses are available as year-long programs or intensive summer/winter options.
  • Mechina (Preparatory Programme): Earning a bachelor’s degree in a new country can be challenging. The one-year Mechina programme provides support and preparation for high school graduates from abroad who wish to pursue undergraduate studies in Israel but do not qualify for direct admission. As a Mechina student, you’ll engage in intensive Hebrew language courses and, if needed, English language courses. You’ll also take classes in mathematics or statistics, Jewish and Israel studies, and choose introductory courses in subjects like psychology, business, statistics, international relations, or economics. Additionally, special preparatory tracks are available for high school graduates from France (Basis) and from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Poland, and Latvia (Yesod). Graduates of these tracks can gain direct admission to Hebrew University’s bachelor’s programs without taking the Psychometric Entrance Test.
  • Study Abroad: If you’re an international undergraduate or graduate student seeking to live in Israel while earning academic credit, you can study in Israel for a semester or an academic year, choosing from various courses in Israel and Middle East studies, Jewish and religious studies, social and political studies, and business and legal studies, as well as English-language courses from other departments. You’ll learn from leading professors and receive an official transcript upon completion.
  • Gap Year: designated for graduated high school who seeks a unique experience in Israel. Spend a semester or a year in Israel, meet peers from around the world, learn Hebrew, take courses at Israel’s top university, and potentially gain work experience in the start-up sector. Enjoy activities organised by HU’s Student Life Team, including trips to the Dead Sea, Masada, and Tel Aviv, guided tours of Jerusalem, and intercultural events.
